Village with 297 inhabitants in the hilly region of Outer Somogy. Name
of the village is first mentioned in documents in 1278. Mihály Zichy
Memorial Museum in the former Zichy mansion with the nicest furniture
from the world-famous painterŚs apartment in St. Petersburg as well as
his weapons and Georgian collection. Mansion park is a nature
conservation area with rich flora. Roman Catholic church of the village
is built in Baroque style; the church-ale is held in July, on Magdolna
nameday.
